Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has recently expressed his perspective on the situation of Kashmiri pundits. Likewise he said that Article 370 has to go.
Article 370 of the Indian constitution provides special status and internal autonomy to the state Jammu and Kashmir. The Article passed in the year 1949 on 17th October by Sheikh Abdullah. Under the provision of Jawahar Lal Nehru as country’s prime minister.
Anupam mentioned that,” I always felt Article 370 must be removed to solve all the issues of Kashmir. I have been saying this for very long now.”
He further said on the issue of few actors’ comments over ‘fear’ among minorities that, “We all have fundamental rights in this country and are free to speak whatever we want to. But the most important thing is what the people of the country has chosen. And, if people are openly saying that they are afraid, then i think they are not because those who really are afraid stay quiet.”
These were the opinion of Anupam Kher on the matter, lets see how will people react towards it.
