First Space Park In Kerela:-
With every passing day, we move closer to the tech world. To begin with Kerela, the introduction of India’s first giant space park is just a stepping stone of the tech world. Kerela Government will be setting the country’s first Giant Space Systems Park at the Knowledge city. The Knowledge City is in Thiruvanthapuram. The sole purpose is to attract global startups working in the space sector.
However, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Centre and Space Museum will also be developed by the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center(VSSC) at the Space Park. It is the main focus of ISRO, as an everlasting memorial of the former president and Space scientist, APJ Abdul Kalam. About the area, the government will transfer 2o.01 acres of land as ease to the Kerela Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd. The execution of this project will be done by the Electronics and IT department.
Within The Space:-
Eventually, a hub of companies using GIS and other data systems will also have set up an incubator. Later, VSSC informed the government about taking up the restrictions regarding the world-class construction of the land imposed by Kerela Art and Heritage Commission.
“With the Space Park materializing, Kerela capital will become a key hub of space technology in the country,” said M.Sivasankar, secretary, electronics and IT.
Apart from VSSC, various research centers have developed in the city. Though together with Space Park it would create a robust ecosystem for Space Technology applications and research.
However, the CEO of Kerela government-owned ICT Academy, Santosh Kurup has been appointed as a special officer of the Park. Whereas, as the co-developer of the project it will collect premium from the companies taking space in the complex.
To summarize, the proposed park will bring new opportunities for the nation in the tech world. Further, it will take India to new heights of accomplishment.
