Arun Jaitley, the Minister of Finance and Corporate affairs opts out of Modi Cabinet. Just a few days ahead of the swearing in ceremony of PM Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, 

Arun Jaitley wrote a letter to PM Modi requesting to excuse him from the forthcoming responsibilities in the forming Modi Cabinet, citing serious health issues.

Mr Jaitley has been ill for quite a few months and recently returned from United States after completing his medical Treatments. consequently, Arun opted out of the Modi Cabinet.

Jaitley, 66 has played major role in the driving of the Modi government. He was the key responsible person in driving the GST implementations all over the Nation. Lawyer by profession, Jaitley has played important roles in getting through the bill to ban the Muslim Instant divorce practice also know at the “Triple Talaq”.

Jaitley, admitted to the AIIMS, last week, went through several test and diagnosis of an undisclosed illness. Recently he returned from US where he underwent a surgery of a soft tissue cancer in his left leg. As a result of which he wasn’t able to present the sixth and the final budget of this current term. Railway and Coal Minister, Piyush Goyal overtook the responsibility and presented the interim budget 2019-20.

To sum it up, Modi cabinet lost a dedicated resource.
