Surat: A 26 year old Muslim girl, living in Sanjan has lodged a complaint against her husband and in- Laws. She claim that he sent a Talaq Nama over an instant messaging app to her mother-in law. Umargam Police has booked Jailun Kaliya and his parents based on the complaint.
Jailun at present is in abroad and the location is unknown. He sent the talaq nama over whatsapp and his mother got it printed and submitted the same in a mosque.
Farhim, the complainant received the notification from the mosque subsequently, she denied to accept it. According to her verbatim, Jailun planned to divorce due to her denial to give their son to her sister-in-law, did not have kids.

“The accused husband is out of country and his location is not know. He works in a shipping company and is likely to return back in a few months. He sent the talaq nama over whatsapp to his mother” said Umargam Police.
Farhim states that he is canada on the contrary his parents say that he is in Dubai. The accused, consequently booked under various section of the Indian Penal Court and The Muslim Women Ordinance, 2019
