Muslim Couple Beaten Up By Gau Rakshaks

Gau Rakshaks: The incident :

In Seoni, Madhya Pradesh a Muslim couple along with another young man was brutally beaten up by locals . The attackers addressed themselves as Gau Rakshaks . Consequently, they tied victims turn by turn to a tree and attacked them with wooden logs.

The trio suspected of carrying beef with them . Furthermore, they forced the victims to repeat slogans of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ .

A video showing the attackers going down on the victims had went viral on the internet and social media platforms . Also, one of the gau rakshaks covered women’s head with a piece of cloth and hit her constatly with his slipper.

According to police official’s statement , the incident occurred on May 22 on Mandla Road in Kanhiwada area under Dunda Seoni police station limits.

“An FIR has been registered against the five people under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Dunda Seoni police station. But, all of them have been arrested,” said Seoni Superintendent of Police Lalit Shakyawar.

However, most noteworthy, the police obtained red meat from the victims which suspected as beef.

Meanwhile , mass’s reaction on this incident is pretty strong . Also, reacting on the incident, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted ,

Similarly , Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti also slammed the incident and tweeted,

Shubham Baghel , one of the attacker is a self-styled head of the Shri Ram Sena. He also involved in an earlier case of beating Muslims in the name of cow protection.
